This page is dedicated to the artists who lend their celebrity to the causes of Juneteenth Atlanta. Juneteenth Atlanta  does not charge the public for entry to the three day music festival and parade. Our goal is to build the largest African history parade in the world with full focus and display on our history. Think big! We have a full project in process that includes all the components to bring this vision into manifestation. The driving force for the success of our project as well as anything else that goes on in a community is the support that is given from the public. We appreciate the love that we have received from the public in bringing Juneteenth to Atlanta and spread the love in every way that we can. Right now we want you the public to be mindful in your preparation for Juneteenth Atlanta. It is a work in labor to bring this event to you free of charge and all we ask is that you start now in putting some cash aside for the artists who will be performing for your enjoyment.

We guarantee that our selected artists  will bring you love, inspiration, hope, condolence, remembrance, enjoyment, celebration, unity, vision, direction, history, solution and more LOVE.  All they ask in return is that you consider purchasing their music or get to know them, or lend your support in other ways; at the very least, that could simply mean a like on social media.  We will/have provided their websites, music sites and media sites to make it easy to find and follow them. What you are about to experience at this years Juneteenth Atlanta is comparable to any $100 ticket you could purchase for a few hours. Come out with your family and friends and support three days of great music offered by dozens of artists from across the land!

Meet the artists visit their sites, like their pages, support their effort and  let them know that we sent you. 'PAGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION'

Can Cool

Picture
Meet Can Cool?
Born Derrick Bledsoe in the southern “scenic city” of Chattanooga, TN, the young “Phenom” began rapping at 6 years old. He released his first single, “Meet Me On the Playground,” at the same age, which became a local anthem for the kids. Known at that time as “Lil Derrick,” his metamorphosis into “Can Cool” should come as no surprise. Time and time again, his multifaceted talent has proven his remarkable skills as a rapper, singer, dancer, producer, songwriter, and actor, as well as his charismatic personality will herald him both commercial and transatlantic success. A consummate professional Can Cool has worked diligently over the years to perfect every aspect of his craft. He has logged more hours in the studio than in the park. He has rocked every show and won or made the cut for every audition or contest he’s entered. With the encouragement and support of his father, the intellectually sharp teenager is currently being homeschooled due to his high-demand performance schedule. Can Cool, with his boy-next-door good looks, has won the hearts of his female audience while the guys envy his impressive footwork and lyrical prowess. He recently released his 1st single “We Lit,” which, currently available on all digital platforms, is rapidly expanding his fan-base and he’s currently working on his EP. Influenced by TI, this whiz kid is constantly recording new music and rehearsing, all in an effort to creatively influence the world around him. Can Cool's has further pushed his sound with his latest single "Finna Go Crazy," that is blazing the urban music air waves in a real way and is catching on among followers and fans.

Tommy Phenom

Meet Tommy Phenom      Unique Rock & Soul Band

From the
depths of his soul comes a sound that stirs up and revives the greatest era of the grittiest roots music.  Tommy Phenom's persona is reminiscent of the great Lenny Kravitz, while his artistry has been likened to the young Prince. He humbly embraces these accolades and has continually perfected his unique sound which has carved out what feels like a new genre. The lyrics that he writes and belts out while persuading his guitar to deliver soul-stirring vibrations are full of emotional depth that is well beyond this prodigy's 20 years of life. It's no wonder because Tommy Phenom was born with what is called an "old soul". At the age of 11, his gift began to emerge as he showed an interest in music; specifically, drums and piano. Without any training, he was able to play simple chords and daily taught himself to play the guitar. Within three years he began to play for local artists around Atlanta, GA where he was born. With deep roots in both Georgia and Philadelphia, PA, The Phenom was influenced by varying genres of music from southern rock & soul to gospel.

Currently releasing an EP entitled, “The Love on Drugs” which will consist of various tracks, that will enlighten the sounds of music for the next generation.

Meet Cody B
Jamison Cody Bowens aka CodyB was born in Stone Mountain, GA and started singing in church at the age of 9 and writing his own songs by the age of 12. He then recorded his first track around the age of 16 and earned the stage name “Cody Faness” (Fah-Ness) from his unique sound and vocal acrobatic ability.  Cody was singing, acting, and dancing in plays, musicals and concerts all also attended North Carolina A&T State University for voice performance. It was at that time in his life when he knew he wanted to be a superstar. Cody has competed in “American Idol”, “Sunday’s best”, “Before the Fame” and “The Voice” making it through all the amateur rounds but not to the main televised rounds. Of course that wasn’t enough to stop Cody as he continues performing in open mic’s, talent shows and competitions throughout Atlanta such as Havana nightclub, encore, CalaBar & Grill, Dugens, J-pauls, Crows-nest, Silver-Ice, Apache Café, numerous private events and a recent winner in the “Grovesway Got Talent Competition”. Cody has finished his first demo and is working to push his songs through radio and social media. Cody will stop at nothing to reach his goal of getting signed to one of the Top record labels and become a superstar! Codys new  state name is “CodyB” to represent mental, spiritual, vocal and musical growth.“Never give up” and “you can never practice too much” are the quotes that CodyB lives by so make sure you look out for him as he makes big moves this year and in the near future!!!

Meet 13th Desciple 13th Desciple & Company

December 6, 1982, Greg Walker a.k.a. 13th Desciple was born in Brunswick, Ga and was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Greg was brought up in the word of Jesus Christ. He also established a passion for music and found a correlation between the word and the beat. It's no secret that people are moved by music and Greg used that knowledge to bring the word to our youth through the mic.  Greg founded the 13th Desciple & Company in Decatur, Ga in 2008 after finding that the message of Jesus Christ needed to be heard outside the church as well as inside. 13th Desciple is currently writing and producing his own music and has made many appearances around the Atlanta Metropolitan. 13th Desciple was voted Grinder of the year in 2011 at the INFERNO AWARDS for his dedication in producing and delivering the word through music. He also helped promote Crunk4ChristRadio Apartment Tour taking the gospel to the streets of Atlanta, GA head on.

Aqeela Reyad

Meet Aqeela Reyad "Q"

Once in a while we have the unique opportunity to embrace a purely original artist. Aqeela Reyad, better known as Q, is that opportunity.

Born and raised in the nation’s capital (by the way of New York and Miami), Q has been in love with music since her mother introduced her to vinyl albums on easy Saturday mornings.

She became engulfed and hypnotized by the sound. She realized her musical gift when she joined the elementary school glee club, but truly found her sound in high school while singing hooks for local artists.

Here, Q realized the potential and possibility of creating and producing music.

She writes and records her own music. Her album, Ta Heaven, is a compilation of music, which she calls Galactic Soul—a mixture of classic soul and her transcendental sound.

Her stage presence and acts have developed via national performances. Q’s soul has called out for her sound and style, for the perfect fusion, the sweetest harmony; and she is present to provide it.

Love CJ Music

Picture
Love CJ Music
A songwriter, music producer, vocal arranger and choreographer,  Queen CJ, A.K.A. LoveCJMusic, creates conscious music for the masses.  She produces almost  all of the songs performed in the annual Juneteenth celebrations. Empowering Black people and building self-esteem in communities of color are expressed in all of her music. And forthe crowd that desires more than redundant mainstream hip hop, CJ writes educational and informative rap songs for young scholars too. Check out her YouTube channels, "Learning with Queen CJ" and "Black History Raps." Talent is no stranger to her bloodline. Her mother, a classically trained pianist, choral director, music and dance teacher, has remained a constant force in CJ’s upbringing. Noted Gospel superstars like Marvin Winans, Lisa Page Brooks and Deitrick Haddon have all been under her choral direction and rigorous instruction. The musical roots don’t begin there, CJ’s grandfather, Melvin Howard, has performed with legends like Cab Calloway and Sarah Vaughn on some of Harlem’s main stages in the 1940′s. Queen CJ has traveled around the world, performing in London, Belgium, Dublin and Rennes, just to name a few. She toured the states for over a decade with the “Queen of Soul,” Ms. Aretha Franklin, as one of her dancers. She has also written for noted producers such as Mario Winans, Jeffery “J Dub” Walker and Katrina Willis.
