Inspire a nation through Global HBCU and High School Freedom Day Parade Band Competitions
On the streets of Atlanta, Georgia
We invite the world to be inspired by HBCU and High School band programs. We are reaching out to HBCU Marching Bands nationwide to unite and demonstrate the excellence that HBCU band programs produce in showcasing the finest marching bands globally. The competition welcomes all divisions: HBCU colleges and universities are renowned for their exceptional showmanship and musical prowess, making them eligible to participate.
Finalists will be chosen by a panel of professional judges, while parade team members will select the ultimate winners. Attendee voting will determine the Attendee Favorite winners. The bands selected by attendees will receive an additional $10,000 Attendee Favorite award.
This competition offers a significant opportunity for HBCU and outstanding high School bands to gain visibility and resources while performing on a national platform. With over $300,000 in total awards and trophys available, this challenge could greatly enhance and inspire participating high school band programs.

The Georgia United Freedom Day Parade takes pride in showcasing the remarkable skills of Gbobal HBCU marching bands, along with Caribbean marching bands and bands from Africa, as well as Georgia Public School bands and students. This makes the Freedom Day Parade one of the most significant and unmissable events globally. Your contributions help these bands travel to Atlanta to be part of a rare and unique multifaceted indigenous/black history Freedom Day Parade, where they can compete for prizes based on their divisions on the streets of Atlanta, Georgia and inspire the next generation of elementary and high school musicians, providing them with invaluable lessons in world history.
